Yesterday it was the fourth and last day of Yperia 2016 here in Amorgos. An intense program gave us the opportunity to discover an amazing island and to discuss about the topic of sustainable tourism and protection of cultural and artistic heritage.
The last session of the convention brought us one more time into the nature through an adventurous path that connects Asfondilitis, an inhabited agricultural village, to Potamos and Aegiali.
Two hours of walking, perfect for everybody who loves trekking and hiking. The path could be hard sometimes but the sight from the top is stunning. The suggestive panorama will make you forget that you are only halfway!
In the night, the speech session has been about tourism as a way of economic development of the islands and the challenge of the social economy (by Katerina Marinakis).
So, new horizons are waiting for Amorgos, ideas and proposal for the growth of the island have been widely discussed during 4 days of Yperia 2016 and many scenarios could be defined to give this unique and uncontaminated place the touristic dimension that deserves.
